Reviews
I completely excluded this hotel from the options after reading the reviews, but my mother, whom we traveled with, booked a room there so we followed her. All in all it was a pleasant surprise: I was expecting a terrible place, and it was …
The hotel is tired and well worn out . Unusual front desk arrangement, very unfriendly towards anybody who may need assistance walking up the 20 + stairs to reach the elevator.
Renovating outside doesn't justify the inside.
Rooms although large, lack the basic welcome note. The fit out is definitely out of date with serious signs of lack of maintenance.
Over all for the price, which seems to be rather high, there are better places.
I was in this hotel for a week last winter. After only 2 days, the heating didn't work anymore. When I asked the staff about it, they said that someone would come the next morning to fix it. But nobody came. It was very cold and I had to wear several layers of clothing. I spoke to the staff again and they again said again that someone would come the next day. For 3 days we had no heating. Nothing was done on the part of the hotel, not even a partial refund offered.
Probably they do this every now and then when they notice the hotel is not well visited to save costs.
Enjoyed a two night stay here with a party of friends, I was sharing a room with two others, but the room was easily big enough, we even had a balcony over looking the main street, Receptionist, Monica, was lovely, very helpful, and spoke …
In November 2015, I stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Polonia. The hotel is very well located indeed: It is in the northern part of the Old Town, on the Theatre Square, and right opposite the Theatre. All sights, attractions, restaurants, and …
Location very Good next to bus station and close to the old town makes it Fantastic. |But the rest leaves it a lot to be desired. Romm needs refreshment, bathroom was not Good. Service was not to helpful- we wanted a room away from the …
This hotel has a quite dated setup. During our stay, they were renovating, but the rooms and common area don't scream 21st century.
The very dirty shower curtain (really, a shower curtain?) was stiff from whatever. The water pressure was great, as was the temperature. The carpets are old and dirty, but the room was comfortable and clean aside the stains on the shower curtain and the floor.
All in all a good place with decent breakfast, but it could use some updating. Don't expect luxury, do expect a decent enough room if you're just looking for a bed to spend the night.
This hotel is a well-run traditionally-furnished 3-star hotel right at the start of the Torun Old City area, thus a good location for sightseeing. It is also easily accessible by a pleasant, mostly-green 500-600 m walk from the central bus …
